Paradise, with its resort lodge in the background. This is the second highest point on Mt. Rainier reachable by car, but the highest point is on the other side of the mountain so we didn't go there. It was high enough that Chris found it hard to breathe; oddly, I didn't.

Joni Mitchell was right; they really did pave Paradise and put up a parking lot!
